BOUND governance follows a carefully planned transition to full decentralization, prioritizing security and stability while building toward complete community control. During the Genesis Stage, before BOUND launch, governance remains under team control to enable rapid iteration and ensure secure protocol deployment. This temporary centralization allows quick responses to early challenges while establishing stable operations. Following BOUND launch, the protocol enters a Hybrid Governance phase where community voting begins while the team maintains emergency intervention capabilities through multisig controls.

This balanced approach allows genuine community participation while retaining safeguards during the critical early period. The final transition to Full Governance transfers complete control to BOUND holders, removing team privileges entirely. This progressive approach ensures the protocol achieves true decentralization without compromising security during vulnerable early stages.
